Guido Porro is considered one of the most consistent producers of authentic and quality wines. At the top of his wine pyramid are his excellent Barolo single site wines, made from the grapes from his various plots, all in the municipality of Serralunga D'Alba lie. His portfolio includes top locations such as Vigna Rionda, Gianetto, Santa Catarina and Lazzairasco, which belongs to the Lazzarito area.
The Porro winery is located at the entrance to the Barolo municipality of Serralunga D'Alba, and Guido Porro is the third generation to run the business together with his family.
Guido Porro stands for high quality Barolo
On a clear day, the winery offers visitors a breathtaking view of the hilly landscape of the opposite Barolo communities of Castiglione Falletto and La Morra and of the Alpine panorama in the background. The likeable Guido Porro succeeds in making great Barolo wines vintage after vintage to produce, which are traditionally matured in Slovenian oak barrels, which are filigree, but have a lot of power and impress with their special elegance and balance.
The Guido Porro winery is still considered an insider tip among Barolo producers and offers the consumer an excellent price-performance ratio. In addition to the Barolo wines made from the Nebbiolo, the winery also produces Dolcetto and Barbera wines, which complement the range of wines made from autochthonous grape varieties. Guido Porro doesn't have to worry about the future of the winery because his son is already ready.
