  • The Barbera D'Alba from the Massolino winery is a truly classic representative of Piedmontese wine culture. The carefully reduced-yield vines benefit from the calcareous soils, resulting in high-quality grapes that produce complex wines.

    The 10-12 day fermentation of the mash in stainless steel at 30°C ensures that the fruity aromas are brought out intensively. The subsequent malolactic fermentation and the short refinement in the stainless steel tank give the wine a fresh, harmonious structure. Bottling in the spring of the following year makes it quickly available and allows enjoyment at its best.

    On the nose, the Barbera has intense, fruity notes and an appealing freshness, paired with a fine sweetness. On the palate, it is fresh, balanced and has a good body, while the long finish perfectly rounds off the taste experience. A tasty and rich Barbera that goes perfectly with a variety of dishes and is definitely worth a recommendation!

    The Massolino Vigna Rionda winery is without doubt one of the ten best in the entire Langhe region. The Massolino siblings are showered with praise by wine critics and the international press alike for their world-class wines, from the classic Dolcetto to the high-quality Barolo single-vineyard wine. Founded more than 100 years ago in Serralunga D'Alba, Massolino Vigna Rionda has remained a family business to this day and is run by the fourth Massolino generation, Franco, Paola and Roberto. The guiding principle for all Massolino wines is reflected in a very clearly defined production philosophy: a precise product that fully reflects the characteristics of the fruit and the terroir. The Massolino Barolo and Barbaresco wines embody the best that this grape variety has to offer: long-lasting wines with great fruit density, complexity and power. All of this perfectly combined with incredible finesse and elegance.



    Barbera goes perfectly with very tasty dishes. Excellent with pasta, rice and soups, braised or grilled red meats and medium-aged cheeses. Also perfect with appetizers and cold cuts.
