This 2022 Fratelli Revello Langhe Nebbiolo is made from grapes from the Annunziata vineyards, which are located at about 230 meters above sea level and have clayey-calcareous soil. The grapes are hand-picked in early October and fermentation takes place with the help of natural yeasts. First, fermentation begins in transverse fermentation tanks, where the mash is in contact with the skins for 6 to 7 days. Fermentation is then completed in large stainless steel tanks and the subsequent malolactic fermentation also takes place in stainless steel. The wine is aged for 12-14 months in used French barriques. After a further six months of storage in the bottle, the wine is then released for marketing.
The Langhe Nebbiolo DOC from Fratelli Revello has a bright ruby red color. On the nose it is light and lively with fruity, floral and spicy notes. The taste is harmonious and pleasantly acidic with a spicy note and a fruity aftertaste. The tannin is abundant and fine-grained. Overall, this is a successful Nebbiolo that can be enjoyed immediately and also offers potential for storage until 2030.
